Billie Winter is a photographer and videographer based in Seattle, Washington.

Her work is grounded in 15 years of editorial experience — chiefly as a photo editor at Rolling Stone magazine. Since 2011, she has also worked with brands, artists, and institutions to establish their visual identities; most recently as the head of photography and videography for Eataly North America. She’s currently photographing a book about queer power couples with her wife, Hannah Murphy Winter, for Chronicle Books, out in Spring 2024.
During lockdown, she had the same sourdough-making, plant-growing existential crisis that many of us did, and signed up for a practicum in sustainable agriculture (why not.) And now, you can also find her on Goblin Farm — an organic, regenerative farm in Woodinville — where she is the founder and head farmer.
